Practice filming with testing of Shots & Locations
This shows filming which took place at my house on Monday 18th Oct, in my bathroom. We were testing locations to see if it would fit in with the narrative of our song. We also wanted to test our lip syncing, and see if we could get the timing right in accordance with our video- "Therapy" The results were that we had just about nailed the timing, as on Zara's first run through of singing the chorus, she had taken 25 seconds, which was just one second off the original artist's version showing good timing on her part. The location of bathroom to show the journey throughout her day on the other hand seemed quite limited, though that was most likely due to our restricted number of shots due to using just one setting for this chorus.
This part of the filming was done on Friday Oct 22nd, and was to see how we could vary our shots in our performance parts of our video, so we could make it more entertaining to our audience and not seem so linear when controlling the camera. We had managed to do a few different types of shot, though not enough that we had felt happy with when reviewing it back. As most videos in our genre tend to have a fast cutting rate, which changing of frame every 3-4 seconds, we found it essential to incorporate the same kind of technique in our music video.
This video, was one that shows us practicing the walking scene, that shows the progression in Zara's journey from her house as she is trying to reach Jordan's house to deliver the letter. This was mainly to test the various shots that we could use or try to replicate it for when we filmed for real in our final product.
